6/18/2008 President Bush to Recognize Fort Myers Youth for Dedication to Volunteer Service
President George W. Bush presented the President’s Volunteer Service Award to Josh Kelchner upon arrival in Fort Myers, Florida, on Friday, June 20, 2008.  Kelchner, 18, is a volunteer with Voices for Kids of Southwest Florida, the Children’s Home Society of Florida, and McGregor Baptist Church.  To thank them for making a difference in the lives of others, President Bush honors a local volunteer when he travels throughout the United States.  He has met with more than 600 volunteers, like Kelchner, since March 2002. President George W. Barnhill, 20, is a sophomore at Furman University and a volunteer with Heller Service Corps.
