President George W. Bush presented the President’s Volunteer Service Award to Caroline Wolf upon arrival at Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska, on Monday, August 4, 2008.  Wolf is an AmeriCorps member serving at the Literacy Council of Alaska, and also volunteers with Alaska Health Fair Incorporated.  To thank them for making a difference in the lives of others, President Bush honors a local volunteer when he travels throughout the United States.  He has met with more than 650 volunteers, like Wolf, since March 2002.

 

President George W. Bush presented the President’s Volunteer Service Award to Jackie Goodall upon arrival in Lewisburg, West Virginia, on Thursday, July 31, 2008.  Goodall is a volunteer with the Shepherd's Center of Greenbrier Valley. To thank them for making a difference in the lives of others, President Bush honors a local volunteer when he travels throughout the United States.  He has met with more than 650 volunteers, like Goodall, since March 2002.

 

President George W. Bush presented the President’s Volunteer Service Award to Linda Campbell upon arrival in Cleveland, Ohio, on Tuesday, July 29, 2008.  Campbell is a volunteer with the Susan G. Komen for the Cure - Northeast Ohio Affiliate, the Junior League of Cleveland, and the American Cancer Society. To thank them for making a difference in the lives of others, President Bush honors a local volunteer when he travels throughout the United States.  He has met with more than 650 volunteers, like Campbell, since March 2002.

 

President George W. Bush presented the President’s Volunteer Service Award to Roy Storey upon arrival in Peoria, Illinois, on Friday, July 25, 2008.  Storey is a volunteer with the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP). To thank them for making a difference in the lives of others, President Bush honors a local volunteer when he travels throughout the United States.  He has met with more than 650 volunteers, like Storey, since March 2002.

 

President George W. Bush presented the President’s Volunteer Service Award to Sherri Goggin upon arrival in Marietta, Georgia, on Tuesday, July 22, 2008.  Goggin is the founder of Bundles of Joy, and a volunteer with Butterfly Dreams Farm Therapeutic Riding Program. To thank them for making a difference in the lives of others, President Bush honors a local volunteer when he travels throughout the United States.  He has met with more than 650 volunteers, like Goggin, since March 2002.

 

President George W. Bush presented the President’s Volunteer Service Award to John Jackson upon arrival in Houston, Texas, on Friday, July 18, 2008.  Jackson is a volunteer with the Prison Entrepreneurship Program.  To thank them for making a difference in the lives of others, President Bush honors a local volunteer when he travels throughout the United States.  He has met with more than 650 volunteers, like Jackson, since March 2002.

 

President George W. Bush presented the President’s Volunteer Service Award to Mark Hendricks, 20, Jake Wellman, 18, and Alex Braden, 20, upon arrival in Redding, California, on Thursday, July 17, 2008.  California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger also joined the President in presenting the award.  The students are Eagle Scouts and members of the Order of the Arrow, the national honor society of the Boy Scouts of America. To thank them for making a difference in the lives of others, President Bush honors volunteers when he travels throughout the United States.  This award presentation includes the 650th volunteer the President has honored since March 2002.

Ward is a volunteer with Experience Corps and Valley Presbyterian Church.  To thank them for making a difference in the lives of others, President Bush honors a local volunteer when he travels throughout the United States.  He has met with more than 650 volunteers, like Ward, since March 2002.

 

President George W. Bush presented the President’s Volunteer Service Award to Gary Hall upon arrival at Travis Air Force Base, California, on Thursday, July 17, 2008.  Hall, a master sergeant in the United States Air Force stationed at Travis Air Force Base, is a volunteer with the Suisun City Fire Department. To thank them for making a difference in the lives of others, President Bush honors a local volunteer when he travels throughout the United States.  He has met with more than 650 volunteers, like Hall, since March 2002.

 

President George W. Bush presented the President’s Volunteer Service Award to Devy Goradia upon arrival in Charlottesville, Virginia, on Friday, July 4, 2008.  Goradia is a volunteer with the Charlottesville Regional Chamber of Commerce, SCORE, the Small Business Development Center and Shelter for Help in Emergency.  To thank them for making a difference in the lives of others, President Bush honors a local volunteer when he travels throughout the United States.  He has met with more than 600 volunteers, like Goradia, since March 2002.

 

President George W. Bush presented the President’s Volunteer Service Award to Robbie Powell, 12, upon arrival in Little Rock, Arkansas, on Tuesday, July 1, 2008.  Robbie organized the Live 4 Ben fundraising campaign and is a volunteer with the Conway Braves.  To thank them for making a difference in the lives of others, President Bush honors a local volunteer when he travels throughout the United States.  He has met with more than 600 volunteers, like Robbie, since March 2002.

 

President George W. Bush presented the President’s Volunteer Service Award to Cameron Fox upon arrival in Jackson, Mississippi, on Tuesday, July 1, 2008.  Fox is a volunteer with the Central Mississippi Chapter of the American Red Cross.  To thank them for making a difference in the lives of others, President Bush honors a local volunteer when he travels throughout the United States.  He has met with more than 600 volunteers, like Fox, since March 2002.

 

President George W. Bush presented the President’s Volunteer Service Award to Jean Peirce upon arrival in Detroit, Michigan, on Wednesday, June 25, 2008.  Peirce is a volunteer with the Shelter Association of Washtenaw County.  To thank them for making a difference in the lives of others, President Bush honors a local volunteer when he travels throughout the United States.  He has met with more than 600 volunteers, like Peirce, since March, 2002.

Marriam, 15, is the co-founder of the Nickelby Project and a volunteer with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Kelchner, 18, is a volunteer with Voices for Kids of Southwest Florida, the Children’s Home Society of Florida, and McGregor Baptist Church.  To thank them for making a difference in the lives of others, President Bush honors a local volunteer when he travels throughout the United States.  He has met with more than 600 volunteers, like Kelchner, since March 2002.

Barnhill, 20, is a sophomore at Furman University and a volunteer with Heller Service Corps.  To thank them for making a difference in the lives of others, President Bush honors a local volunteer when he travels throughout the United States.  He has met with more than 600 volunteers, like Barnhill, since March 2002.

Knight, 25, is a volunteer with Students Take Action and YouthFriends. He has met with more than 600 volunteers, like Knight, since March 2002.

Pehrson, 24, is a volunteer with AmeriCorps Youth Service Corps. Macintyre is a volunteer with the Roadrunner Food Bank, Friends for the Library, and New Mexico AIDS Services.  To thank them for making a difference in the lives of others, President Bush honors a local volunteer when he travels throughout the United States. Skinner, 12, is a volunteer with Project SHINE and Church for the Nations. Petrenko, an Army spouse, is a volunteer with the National Military Family Association, the Child Advocacy Center of Cumberland County and other community organizations. Shannon is a volunteer with Real Men, Real Heroes, Saint Mark United Methodist Church and Kansas Big Brothers Big Sisters. Johnson served as a volunteer with AmeriCorps St. Louis and is an active volunteer with Make a Difference Day and the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Lapenta is a volunteer with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Hartford. Raggio is a volunteer with Desire Street Academy. Browder is a volunteer with the Central City Partnership, the Holy Ghost Catholic Church and the Neighborhood Housing Services of New Orleans. Reid is a volunteer with Army Family Team Building, Army Family Action Plan, the Army Volunteer Corps and Fort Dix Elementary School. President George W. Bush presented the President’s Volunteer Service Award to Lydia Humenycky upon arrival in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on Thursday, March 27, 2008.  Humenycky recently returned to the U.S. after two years of service as a Peace Corps volunteer in West Africa.   To thank them for making a difference in the lives of others, President Bush honors a local volunteer when he travels throughout the United States. Goodreau is a volunteer with the Civil Air Patrol. Van Schaik, a senior at Spring Valley High School, is the creator of Science Captivates Minds, an education program for elementary students. Nolan is a volunteer with the YWCA of Greater Cincinnati. Kulish, a fifth-grader at Hambright Elementary School, is the founder of the youth service project, Kisses for Kaeden. Daly is a volunteer with The Salvation Army’s Emergency Disaster Services. President George W. Bush presented the President’s Volunteer Service Award to Barbara MacLean upon arrival at the airport in Phoenix, Arizona, on Tuesday, October 3, 2006.  MacLean is the founder of Face in the Mirror Foundation which provides encouragement and pampering to women with cancer.  To thank them for making a difference in the lives of others, President Bush honors a local volunteer, called a USA Freedom Corps Greeter, when he travels throughout the United States.  President Bush has met with more than 500 individuals around the country, like MacLean, since March 2002.

Cook is the founder of the Mile-Long Yellow Ribbon Project.  To thank them for making a difference in the lives of others, President Bush honors a local volunteer, called a USA Freedom Corps Greeter, when he travels throughout the United States. Nickovich is a volunteer with the Volunteers in Police Service Program SMART, the Citizen’s Homeland Security Council, and the Emblem Club.
